Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Ministry of National Food Security and Research conducted a send-off ceremony for 300 agricultural graduates chosen for advanced training in China. This event is part of the “Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Initiative for Capacity Building of 1,000 Agricultural Graduates in China,” aimed at transforming Pakistan’s agriculture sector through international collaboration.
The initiative represents a strategic investment in human capital, intended to enhance food security and promote sustainable development. By providing international exposure, the program seeks to empower a new generation of agricultural professionals to tackle challenges such as climate change and outdated farming practices.
Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, emphasized the importance of modernizing agricultural methods and strengthening youth capacity through global learning experiences. He highlighted the Prime Minister’s leadership in incorporating climate-smart agriculture to achieve a greener Pakistan.
