Pakistan Embassy in Beijing Commemorates 79th Independence Day with Flag-Hoisting Ceremony


Beijing: The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing marked the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Chancery, underscoring the enduring diplomatic relationship with China. Charge d’Affaires Aizaz Khan led the event by hoisting the national flag as the national anthem played, while messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister were read, honoring the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.



According to Press Information Department, the President and Prime Minister’s messages emphasized unity, perseverance, and commitment to national ideals for a progressive Pakistan. Charge d’Affaires Khan extended congratulations to the Pakistani community in China, highlighting 75 years of diplomatic relations with China rooted in friendship and trust. He acknowledged the Pakistani diaspora’s contributions to national development and bilateral ties through people-to-people exchanges.



The ceremony included a photo exhibition of Quaid-e-Azam’s life and performances by students from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing, emphasizing steadfastness and hard work. Attendees included embassy officials, Pakistani community members and their families, as well as representatives from Chinese media, intelligentsia, and civil society.
