ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, hosted a reception honoring Pakistan Army veterans on Independence Day, attended by many retired officers and soldiers.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, Munir paid tribute to the veterans for their invaluable contributions to the nation’s defense and acknowledged their ongoing role in strengthening national resilience. He emphasized the significance of the veterans’ experience and guidance as a valuable asset to the institution, particularly in navigating the complex and evolving security landscape.

The attending veterans expressed their confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and reaffirmed their support for the Armed Forces in addressing emerging security challenges. They also pledged to continue their efforts towards national unity, peace, stability, and prosperity.
