Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Norway have pledged to enhance their cooperation in the areas of defense and security, as a high-level Norwegian delegation visited Pakistan for discussions with military leadership. The talks, held in Rawalpindi, were led by Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, who met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting centered on mutual interests, regional security, and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Norway. Field Marshal Munir shared Pakistan’s views on global peace and regional stability, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to tackle shared security challenges.
The Norwegian delegation acknowledged the professional contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces in fostering regional peace. Both parties expressed a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in defense and security.
