Islamabad: Trade between Pakistan and China has experienced notable growth through the Khunjerab Pass, enhancing Pakistan’s trade connections with both international and regional markets. According to Pakistan Customs, the revenue generated from imports from China through the Khunjerab Pass reached a record 15 billion rupees during the fiscal year 2025-26, an increase from 13.67 billion rupees in the previous fiscal year.
Pakistan Customs data also highlighted that Pakistan exported goods valued at 2.8 billion rupees to China and Central Asian countries via the pass during this period. Noteworthy exports from Pakistan included surgical instruments, garments, rice, leather products, carpets, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts. This development reflects a strengthening of trade ties and increased economic activity between the neighboring countries.
