National Assembly Leadership Urges Unity Reflecting March 23 Spirit for Pakistan’s Development


Islamabad, On the occasion of Pakistan Day, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, alongside Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, emphasized the need for national unity and dedication reminiscent of March 23, 1940, to address Pakistan’s contemporary challenges. They called for collaborative efforts across political divides to foster the country’s development and uphold the legacy of the nation’s founders.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, both leaders underscored the historical significance of Pakistan Day, marking the adoption of the Lahore Resolution, which set the foundation for Pakistan’s creation. They highlighted the day as a moment to remember the sacrifices made for independence and to reignite the resolve and unity that characterized the freedom movement.



Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq articulated the essence of March 23 as a symbol of collective aspiration and sacrifice, urging all political entities and citizens to work in harmony for the nation’s progress. He reflected on the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the transformative struggle that culminated in the establishment of an independent state for Muslims in the subcontinent.



The call to action stressed the importance of overcoming differences, especially in tough times, asserting that the spirit of sacrifice for the nation remains paramount. Sadiq advocated for renewed commitment from every Pakistani to contribute tirelessly to the country’s advancement.



Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also echoed these sentiments, recognizing the day as a tribute to the enduring struggle and sacrifices that led to Pakistan’s independence.
