NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Holds Meetings to Foster Parliamentary Cooperation


Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, engaged in discussions with the Speakers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan Assemblies to enhance parliamentary cooperation and strengthen legislative institutions. The meetings emphasized the importance of effective legislative performance and the promotion of democratic values.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq first met with Babar Saleem Swati, Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, at the Parliament House. Their talks focused on parliamentary affairs, legislation, and mutual interests, with both parties agreeing to reinforce linkages and cooperation among legislative bodies. Speaker Sadiq highlighted the necessity of coordination and experience sharing for ensuring democratic stability.



Sadiq also convened with Imran Nadeem, Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, to discuss similar themes of parliamentary collaboration. He congratulated Nadeem on his recent appointment and reiterated the significance of the Speakers’ Conference as a platform for legislative cooperation. Both Swati and Nadeem praised Sadiq’s efforts in promoting parliamentary cooperation and maintaining orderly National Assembly proceedings.
