Islamabad: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the moon marking the beginning of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 Hijri was not sighted anywhere in the country. As a result, the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be observed on Saturday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement was made by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, following a meeting held in Islamabad. With this development, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which is Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), will be observed on Wednesday, the 26th of this month.
