ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has denied claims made by the Afghan Taliban regime regarding drone strikes targeting Daesh Khorasan in the border regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Information Ministry described these claims as false and part of a recurring pattern. The statement elaborated that the Afghan Taliban regime, through various propaganda channels, has been claiming responsibility for targeting Daesh Khorasan using rudimentary drones in these areas. However, the Ministry countered these assertions, stating that terrorist camps, including those of Daesh and over two dozen other organizations, are actually based within territories controlled by the Afghan Taliban.
The statement from the Ministry emphasized that such claims are attempts by the Taliban regime to mask their support for terrorism in neighboring countries and regions, involving groups such as Daesh, Fitna al-Khawarij, and Fitna al-Hindustan. The Information Minister noted that a rudimentary drone from the Taliban regime recently breached Pakistani airspace near the Shinko area of Khyber, but was promptly detected and neutralized by Pakistan’s Air Defence System.
