Quetta: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, stressed the centrality of peace and prosperity in Balochistan to the state’s broader efforts during a visit to Quetta Garrison. He met with commanders and commanding officers of field formations and acknowledged their operational readiness and commitment to maintaining stability in the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the current security environment and the measures in place to maintain peace in Balochistan. He highlighted the need for continued coordination among law enforcement and state institutions to ensure an environment conducive to economic activity and development.
The Field Marshal also focused on socio-economic development, reviewing institutional coordination and support for the province’s progress. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and recognized the dedication of officers and troops in fulfilling their duties, reaffirming the state’s commitment to the well-being of Balochistan’s people. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the Commander of Quetta Corps.
