Christian Community Pledges Support for Pakistan’s Defense


Islamabad: The Christian community in Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to the country’s defense as articulated by Dr. Joseph Arshad, the Archbishop of Rawalpindi-Islamabad. Dr. Arshad emphasized the community’s solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and its readiness to make sacrifices for the nation’s defense, security, and sovereignty.



According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Arshad’s message was delivered on the eve of Defence and Martyrs Day, commemorating September 6 as a pivotal day in Pakistan’s history. He highlighted the Armed Forces’ successful efforts in countering a significantly larger adversary and thwarting hostile intentions during past conflicts.



Dr. Arshad also reflected on the significance of Defence Day, which honors the sacrifices of martyrs and heroes who demonstrated exceptional bravery to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. He noted the historical contributions and sacrifices made by the Christian community in supporting the country’s defense efforts.



In his concluding remarks, Joseph Arshad urged all citizens to renew their commitment to the nation’s development, prosperity, peace, and stability through dedicated and sincere efforts.
