Maryam Nawaz Sharif Emphasizes Charity as a Pillar of Society on World Charity Day


LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted the importance of charity and public welfare in a statement issued on World Charity Day, urging a collective effort to support the underprivileged. She emphasized that service to humanity is akin to worship and a core element of her political agenda.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the chief minister called on governments, welfare organizations, and philanthropists to collaborate in creating a more supportive society. She stated that public welfare, service to humanity, and charity are fundamental for societal progress and survival. Nawaz Sharif also pointed out that even small donations or supportive gestures could significantly alleviate poverty and deprivation.



In her message, the chief minister underscored the role of the Punjab government in initiating various projects focused on public welfare and humanitarian service. She stressed the importance of sharing the burdens of others, noting that helping those in distress is a commendable act that can transform lives.
