Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar have called upon the nation to embody the teachings of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the revered poet and philosopher, on the occasion of his 146th birth anniversary. Both leaders separately emphasized the significance of Iqbal’s vision for Pakistan and his role as a catalyst in fostering unity among the Muslims of the subcontinent.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi and Prime Minister Kakar offered rich tributes to Iqbal, acknowledging him as a paramount figure who conceptualized the foundation of Pakistan. President Alvi highlighted Iqbal’s influential thought and poetry, which he said could instill unity among Muslims, while urging the populace to adhere to Iqbal’s teachings on Islam and his philosophy of “Khudi” to advance national prosperity.
The Prime Minister reflected on Iqbal’s contribution to awakening Muslims’ consciousness about their rights and fostering a sense of unity. He praised Iqbal’s philosophy as a beacon for human transformation and success in both this world and the hereafter. Furthermore, Kakar encouraged the youth to contribute to the country’s development with a positive and progressive approach as advocated by Iqbal.
