Nation Observes Youm-e-Ashur with Solemnity and Security Measures


ISLAMABAD: Youm-e-Ashur, the tenth day of Muharram-ul-Haram, was observed across the country on Friday to honor the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho and his companions in Karbala.



According to Radio Pakistan, mourning processions were held in cities and towns nationwide. Religious leaders and scholars, known as Ulema and Zakireen, spoke on the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain and the events of Karbala. The processions featured Alam, Taazia, and Zuljanah to commemorate the martyrs and their sacrifice for Islam.



Authorities implemented extensive security measures to ensure the processions proceeded without incident.
