Islamabad: The Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Syedaal Khan Nasar, delivered a message on Youm-e-Ashura, underscoring the enduring significance of the Karbala tragedy as a symbol of truth, perseverance, and sacrifice. He highlighted the lasting impact of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions’ sacrifices, which continue to inspire resistance against oppression and the defense of justice and righteousness.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Nasar emphasized that Youm-e-Ashura transcends its historical context to offer a universal message of standing firm against tyranny. He stated that the sacrifices of the Karbala martyrs serve as a guiding light for the Muslim community, urging adherence to honesty, justice, tolerance, and moral integrity.

Nasar called for unity, patience, mutual respect, tolerance, and brotherhood in current times. He encouraged the nation to draw inspiration from the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) to foster national cohesion and social harmony. He concluded his message with a prayer for Pakistan’s peace, progress, prosperity, and stability, as well as for the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah.
