Islamabad Police Intensify Field Patrolling to Enhance Citizen Safety


Islamabad: Beat officers in Islamabad have been instructed to enhance their field policing efforts under the guidance of Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to better protect citizens’ lives and property. This directive was issued during a special briefing led by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, which focused on strengthening patrolling, improving crime prevention measures, and ensuring prompt response to citizens’ needs.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the briefing emphasized the importance of effective patrolling and the need for beat officers to maintain vigilance over criminal activities and suspicious individuals or vehicles in their areas. The officers were urged to engage in proactive monitoring and to act swiftly on any intelligence received.



SSP Raza highlighted the crucial role that an active police presence plays in crime prevention, instructing officers to prioritize surveillance at key locations and to maintain open lines of communication with local residents. He also stressed the necessity of keeping official vehicles in optimal condition to ensure responsiveness during patrols and emergencies.



In addition, the briefing called for officers to remain attentive to crime trends and to take decisive actions against known offenders and suspicious activities. SSP Raza reaffirmed the commitment of Islamabad Police to leverage all resources available to bolster field policing efforts and safeguard the community.
