ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has finalized an extensive security plan to ensure safety at mosques and religious gatherings during Eid Milad-un-Nabi, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, more than 3,000 officers will be deployed to manage security, with dedicated teams conducting patrols under the supervision of SDPOs and SHOs. Zonal SPs will oversee all security arrangements, and directives have been issued to SHOs. The security plan includes SWAT and DELTA Force commandos, CTD officials, Capital Patrol Unit, female commandos, and both armed and plainclothes officers. Traffic Police will facilitate smooth traffic flow, with citizens being screened through walk-through gates and metal detectors.

The main Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession will start from Jamia Masjid Al-Raza, G-7 Centre, passing along designated routes and concluding at Darbar Sakhi Mehmood Badshah in Aabpara. Police will secure the streets along the route, with additional security at mosques and other worship sites. Parking will be arranged away from procession routes, and separate security plans have been prepared for rallies and gatherings. Entry and exit points of the city are under strict surveillance, and the Bomb Disposal Squad will conduct area sweeps to ensure safety.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s responsibility to protect citizens’ lives and property, stating that all resources will be utilized to maintain safety and order. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the Islamabad Police Helpline “Pucar-15” or local stations.
