ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and curb criminal activities, the Islamabad Police conducted a series of intensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the scrutiny of over 395 individuals.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were initiated following the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were overseen by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with monitoring by zonal SPs. During the operations, 148 households, 28 shops, two hotels, 126 motorcycles, and 34 vehicles were thoroughly inspected, leading to the detention of 12 suspicious individuals, the impoundment of 15 motorcycles, and one vehicle for further verification.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the purpose of these operations is to intensify measures against criminal elements and bolster security throughout the city. The operations are part of an ongoing initiative to target criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers indiscriminately in various districts of Islamabad.
