Islamabad Police Conducts Extensive Search Operations, Detains Over 228 Individuals


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and combat criminal activity, the Islamabad Police has embarked on a series of search and combing operations across the federal capital. The initiative, prompted by the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has resulted in the scrutiny of over 228 individuals.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and the oversight of respective zonal SPs, these operations have extended to 101 households, 21 shops, 14 hotels, 131 motorcycles, and 48 vehicles. The operations led to the detention of three suspicious individuals and the confiscation of 12 motorcycles, which were sent to the police station for further verification. Authorities also arrested individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, recovering two pistols and ammunition of various calibers.



SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the aim of these operations is to clamp down on criminal activities and improve security throughout the city. He stated that similar operations are being conducted in various districts, with a focus on taking decisive action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
