ISLAMABAD: In a recent crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 36 individuals and confiscated significant quantities of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, six individuals were detained for their involvement in various criminal activities. The police recovered 1,298 grams of ice, 520 grams of heroin, 1,650 grams of hashish, four pistols, and a rifle with ammunition from these suspects. Legal cases have been filed against them, and investigations are underway.

Additionally, police efforts to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of 26 more individuals. These actions are part of a broader initiative led by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at reducing crime and ensuring security in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the community, stating that maintaining peace and protecting citizens are their primary objectives. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious behavior to the police or through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline to foster collaboration between law enforcement and residents in eliminating crime.
