Islamabad Police Arrests 33 Outlaws in Major Crackdown, Recovers Drugs and Weapons


Islamabad: In a significant development, the Islamabad Police have arrested 33 individuals suspected of criminal activities, while also recovering a substantial cache of drugs and weapons. The arrests, part of an ongoing campaign to curb crime in the federal capital, highlight the police’s commitment to maintaining public safety.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Ramna, Shalimar, Tarnol, Sihala, Lohi Bher, Phulgran, Shehzad Town, and Bani Gala police stations apprehended 11 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized 1,151 grams of hashish, 320 grams of ice, six pistols, and a rifle with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those detained, and investigations are currently underway.



Additionally, a targeted campaign for apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of 22 more individuals. The operations were conducted under the directive of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a continued crackdown on crime to uphold peace in the city.



SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reaffirmed the police’s dedication to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, assuring that any attempts to disrupt public peace would not be tolerated. The Islamabad Police urges citizens to report suspicious activities to local police stations or via the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, promoting collaboration between the police and the public to combat crime effectively.
