Pakistan Reaffirms Stance on Pahalgam Incident Amid Criticism of India’s Actions


Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, marked the one-year anniversary of the Pahalgam incident by condemning India’s actions and reiterating Pakistan’s stance on regional stability. He criticized India’s policies and its handling of the situation, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and adhering to international law.



According to Press Information Department, Gilani highlighted Pakistan’s restraint during the standoff with India, praising the Pakistan Armed Forces for their role in maintaining national security. He called for a neutral investigation into the incident to prevent further escalation and criticized India’s “Operation Sindoor” as destabilizing.



Gilani raised concerns about India’s interference in Pakistan’s affairs and warned against undermining the Indus Waters Treaty, which he sees as a threat to regional stability. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace but stated that the country is prepared to respond to any aggression.
