ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and enhance security, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, scrutinizing over 546 individuals, 248 households, 29 hotels, 326 motorcycles, and 123 vehicles. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, are part of a broader strategy to crack down on criminal activities.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight by the respective zonal SPs. The operations resulted in the detention of 30 suspicious individuals, the impoundment of 33 motorcycles, and one vehicle, all of which were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the goal of these operations is to tighten control over criminal elements and improve security measures throughout the city. The police are actively conducting similar operations in various areas of the district as part of a comprehensive campaign against criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15” to aid in maintaining public safety.
