Islamabad Police Arrests 10 in Motorcycle Theft Bust, Recovers 19 Stolen Bikes


Islamabad: Islamabad Police have successfully dismantled several motorcycle theft gangs, arresting 10 individuals and recovering 19 stolen motorcycles, according to a press release from Islamabad Capital Police. The crackdown, orchestrated by police teams from Kohsar, Karachi Company, Golra, and Shalimar stations, targeted five distinct gangs, including the interprovincial “Rahat” gang.



Multiple legal cases have been filed against those apprehended, and investigations are ongoing. Preliminary findings revealed confessions from the accused, linking them to numerous motorcycle theft incidents. This operation follows directives from DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, emphasizing enhanced measures against theft, robbery, and street crime in the federal capital.



DIG Islamabad has instructed officers to escalate efforts to apprehend criminals and safeguard citizens’ properties. The police department is also urging public cooperation in reporting suspicious activities to support crime prevention initiatives.
