Islamabad Police Arrest 29 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons


Islamabad: In a concerted effort to curb criminal activities, Islamabad Police have apprehended 29 individuals allegedly involved in various crimes, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. According to Islamabad Capital Police, law enforcement teams detained 10 suspects linked to assorted criminal activities. From these arrests, authorities seized 580 grams of ice, 1,100 grams of hashish, 49 bottles of liquor, and five pistols, along with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those detained, with investigations ongoing.



Additionally, as part of a targeted campaign aimed at apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully arrested 19 individuals. The campaign is in line with directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the Islamabad Police intensify efforts to maintain order in the federal capital.



SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s dedication to safeguarding the community, stating that public safety and crime prevention are paramount. The police urge citizens to report suspicious activities to local police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration between law enforcement and the community in eradicating crime.
