ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation, the Islamabad Police have arrested 16 individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities. Police teams recovered five pistols along with ammunition from the possession of six of the accused, with cases registered against them as investigations proceed.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these arrests are part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the detention of ten additional suspects. The initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at maintaining peace and security in the capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to safeguarding the community and emphasized that disrupting public peace will not be tolerated. The department encourages citizens to report any suspicious activities through local police stations or the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, emphasizing collaboration between law enforcement and the public as a means to combat crime effectively.
