Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has extended Independence Day greetings to Pakistanis and emphasized the importance of responsible celebrations. According to Islamabad Capital Police, Rizvi underscored the significance of freedom and called upon citizens to commemorate the day with national spirit and gratitude.

A comprehensive security plan has been devised to ensure law and order across Islamabad. Over 4,000 police officers will be deployed in various capacities, including patrolling and monitoring key locations. The police force will maintain a vigilant presence around the clock to safeguard the public.

Rizvi highlighted strict measures against illegal activities such as wheelie riding, aerial firing, and hooliganism. Legal action will be taken against any individuals found participating in such acts. He also appealed to parents to educate the younger generation about the true spirit of Independence Day, emphasizing that celebrations should not infringe upon others’ safety or comfort.

He encouraged families to celebrate by visiting parks and expressing gratitude for their freedom. Rizvi concluded with a call for public cooperation and vigilance, urging citizens to report suspicious activities to the Islamabad Police Helpline Pucar-15.
