IGP Islamabad Conducts Strategic Review of Law and Order, Training, and IT Initiatives


Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi convened a series of pivotal meetings at the Central Police Office to assess the current state of law and order, training programs, and IT projects within the Islamabad Police.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meetings were attended by senior officials, including the DIG Headquarters, DIG Law and Order/Training, SSP CTD, SP Soan zone, and Director IT. These discussions focused on administrative affairs, the security landscape, counter-terrorism strategies, and efforts to strengthen professional capabilities and operations against criminal elements.



IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of enhancing inter-departmental coordination to improve performance and ensure the delivery of effective services to the public. He reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains a top priority and called for more effective security measures and accelerated crime-fighting operations using modern strategies.



In a separate meeting with the SP Soan zone, IGP Rizvi assessed crime prevention strategies, the effectiveness of the patrolling system, and progress in ongoing investigations. He directed more stringent actions against criminal elements, including drug dealers and proclaimed offenders, and stressed the need to elevate public service standards.



Discussions with the Director IT centered on the expansion of the Safe City project and the implementation of modern IT initiatives and online services for citizens. IGP Rizvi called for the effective use of technology to create a more modern, integrated, and citizen-friendly policing system.



IGP Rizvi reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamabad Police to utilize all available resources to protect citizens, maintain law and order, and promote a transparent and trustworthy policing system.
