Islamabad: Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has expressed satisfaction over the progress of the Main Line-1 (ML-1) project, aimed at modernizing the country’s railway infrastructure. The initiative is expected to enhance train speeds, improve passenger facilities, and strengthen the overall performance of Pakistan Railways.
According to Radio Pakistan, Abbasi emphasized that merit, transparency, and competition would be prioritized at every stage of the project. The latest developments were discussed during a meeting at the Pakistan Railways Headquarters, chaired by Chairman Syed Mazhar Ali Shah. The meeting reviewed the upgradation plans for the Karachi-Rohri section and set a deadline to complete the review phase of ML-1 by October 30.
