ISLAMABAD: The second round of talks between the government, the Pakistan Peoples Party, and the opposition is currently taking place in Islamabad. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is presiding over the meeting, which aims to foster dialogue among the political entities.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed optimism that the discussions would proceed in a cooperative manner, similar to the previous day’s meeting. Representing the government are Federal Ministers Amir Muqam and Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah. The Pakistan Peoples Party delegation includes Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, and Ejaz Hussain Jakhrani. The opposition is represented by Barrister Gohar Khan, Raja Nasir Abbas, Aamir Dogar, Asad Qaiser, Haleem Adil Sheikh, and Salman Akram Raja.
