IGP Islamabad Reviews Police Headquarters Division, Emphasizes Accountability and Rewards

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, convened a meeting with officers from the Headquarters Division at Police Lines Headquarters to evaluate administrative functions, logistical support, and welfare initiatives for police personnel.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included participation from DIG Law and Order/Training Muhammad Atiq Tahir, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq, and SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen. During the session, the IGP stressed the importance of dedication, commitment, and professionalism in fulfilling responsibilities. He announced that officers demonstrating commendable performance would receive rewards, while measures would be taken to hold accountable those exhibiting negligence or inefficiency. Emphasizing principles of merit, transparency, discipline, and professional responsibility, he underscored their importance in all operations.

IGP Islamabad highlighted the crucial function of the Headquarters Division in offering logistical and administrative support to the police force. He instructed officers to enhance the management of the police store, mess hall, inventory, and ensure timely distribution of uniforms. The effective utilization of resources and timely fulfillment of operational and administrative requirements were also stressed.

Focusing on the welfare of police officers and personnel, Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry reiterated the responsibility of providing quality facilities to those safeguarding the community. He committed to addressing their welfare and professional needs.

Additionally, he directed officers to maintain high-quality mess services and make appropriate accommodation arrangements for visiting officers from other districts. The importance of maintaining high standards and providing a supportive environment was emphasized.
