Dhaka: The President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Mahmud Hasan Khan, welcomed High Commissioner Imran Haider at the BGMEA office in Dhaka to discuss strategies for bolstering trade ties in the textile sector. Their meeting centered on strengthening bilateral trade, implementing activities under an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Ready-made Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), and addressing trade barriers.

According to Press Information Department, the BGMEA President extended an invitation to Pakistani businesses to participate in the Bangladesh Apparel and Textile Exposition (BATEXPO), which is scheduled to take place on November 18-19, 2026. High Commissioner Haider assured BGMEA of comprehensive support to advance trade and enhance commercial collaboration between the two countries.
