Islamabad: Arrangements to repatriate the bodies of Pakistani nationals who died in Somalia are underway on directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to Radio Pakistan, the bodies have arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where Ethiopian Airlines staff are completing necessary preparations for their transportation to Karachi.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured that relevant authorities are in constant contact to expedite the repatriation process. The deceased, identified as Syed Kashif Umar, Ahmed Ansari, and Rafiullah, will be returned to Pakistan with the government’s assistance.
The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to Azhan Kashif, son of the deceased Syed Kashif Umar, during a phone call. He assured that all measures are being taken for the prompt return of his father’s body, along with the other deceased, to Pakistan.
