Egypt Commends Pakistan for Promoting Regional Dialogue


Cairo: In a high-level meeting held in Cairo, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi recognized Pakistan’s significant role in fostering dialogue and stability in the Middle East region. This acknowledgment came during a joint call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, alongside the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting provided a platform for discussing regional and international developments, highlighting the evolving situation in the Middle East. The Egyptian President expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s commitment to promoting regional dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomatic engagement. The discussions underscored the importance of advancing peace and stability through sustained dialogue and cooperation.



Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening ties with Egypt and noted the positive momentum in bilateral exchanges. He welcomed President El-Sisi’s acceptance of an invitation from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit Pakistan, emphasizing the deepening cooperation across multiple sectors.



The meeting also focused on the R4 framework, a collaborative platform involving Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye, which aims to enhance dialogue and coordination on shared interests. Participants expressed confidence that continued engagement and collective efforts would contribute to regional peace, stability, and economic development.



The discussions took place in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the strong bonds of friendship and mutual respect among the nations involved. The Egyptian President commended the contributions of Pakistan’s leadership, including the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and key military figures, in promoting regional peace and stability.
