PM Shehbaz Sharif and US Vice President J.D. Vance Meet Amid US-Iran Talks in Switzerland


Lucerne: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and United States Vice President J.D. Vance convened on the sidelines of the US-Iran technical-level discussions in Lucerne, Switzerland, today. The meeting, which coincided with the follow-up to the ‘Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding’, involved a cordial exchange of greetings between the two leaders.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was attended by notable officials, including Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, and senior advisor Jared Kushner. The talks took place in a highly amicable setting, underscoring the cooperative spirit between the participating parties.
