SRINAGAR, In a startling discovery, at least eighteen children were reported missing from the Al-Miskeen Trust orphanage in the Bemina area of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a visit by the Children Welfare Committee Srinagar revealed the absence of these children who were listed on the orphanage’s rolls. This unexpected finding was reported during a routine inspection by the committee, as informed by officials to the media.
In response to this alarming situation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) overseeing the area has ordered the closure of the orphanage. Additionally, the SDM has directed the orphanage’s office bearers to ensure that the missing children are presented before him as soon as possible.
