ISLAMABAD: In a recent move aimed at addressing the grievances of police officers, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Law & Order/Training, Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, convened an orderly room to prioritize and resolve both departmental and personal issues faced by Islamabad Police officers. The initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, officers from the Law & Order/Training division attended the meeting, where they were given the opportunity to present their concerns to the DIG. In response, DIG Tahir instructed the officers to re-evaluate serious matters and issued orders to address outstanding issues with urgency. He also outlined various initiatives focused on the welfare of police officers, including housing, enhanced medical facilities, and improved educational standards.

During the meeting, DIG Tahir assured the officers of an open-door policy for addressing their concerns and urged collective efforts for the betterment of the city. He reiterated the primary goal of the orderly room was to ensure the welfare and resolution of both personal and official issues faced by the police force.
