ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for addressing unresolved issues, during a meeting with UK High Commissioner Jane Marriott in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dar and Marriott discussed recent regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of implementing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in its entirety. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress in Pakistan-UK relations, citing his recent meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband at the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila. Dar underscored the need for sustained high-level engagements between the two nations.
The meeting also covered areas of mutual interest and explored avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation. High Commissioner Marriott extended warm wishes to Pakistan on its Independence Day.
