New York: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, held discussions with key United Nations officials to explore avenues for expanding collaboration on youth empowerment initiatives. During meetings with Andrew Saberton, Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and Omar Abdi, Deputy Executive Director (Programmes) of UNICEF, Khan emphasized the need for joint efforts in evidence-based policymaking, demographic data analysis, life skills development, and climate-resilient livelihoods.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions underscored the importance of international partnerships in amplifying Pakistan’s youth initiatives on global platforms. Khan highlighted the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub (DYH) and sought collaboration with UNFPA to strengthen youth programs. Similarly, in the meeting with UNICEF’s Omar Abdi, the focus was on the Learning to Earning initiative, the DYH, and the implementation of the National Adolescent & Youth Policy (NAYP).
Both meetings explored the potential for enhanced cooperation under the Generation Unlimited initiative, aiming to equip young Pakistanis with skills necessary for success in an AI-driven and environmentally sustainable economy.
