Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their commitment to continue operations against Fitna al-Khawarij, a group described as Indian-backed, until a conclusive result is reached. The leaders thanked security forces for their efforts in Bannu and nearby regions.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari emphasized that those responsible for attacks on civilians and law enforcement will not be shown leniency. He also highlighted the nation’s unified support for security forces. Prime Minister Sharif reiterated the government’s dedication to eliminating terrorism and its facilitators, assuring that plans led by terrorist elements under Indian sponsorship will be thwarted and perpetrators of attacks will face justice. Both leaders stressed national solidarity with security personnel in these efforts.
