Pakistan Initiative Connects Global Youth Diaspora with National Development

New York: The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, has unveiled the PIVOT program at an event held in New York. This initiative is designed to connect the global Pakistani youth diaspora with young people in Pakistan, facilitating mentorship, professional networking, and opportunities in education and entrepreneurship.

According to Radio Pakistan, the launch event, titled “From Connection to Contribution: Pakistani Youth Diaspora Connect,” gathered young Pakistani professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and community leaders from across the United States. These participants expressed a strong interest in supporting Pakistan’s youth through the PIVOT platform, aiming to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, highlighted the significance of the PIVOT program, describing it as a renewal of partnership with overseas Pakistanis who maintain a connection to their homeland. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, emphasized the potential of this initiative, noting the vast talent and expertise within the Pakistani youth and its global diaspora. He underscored the potential of these connections to drive mentorship, entrepreneurship, and national development.
