Caretaker Prime Minister Announces Investment Policy Reforms Through SIFC

Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has announced that reforms are being introduced in the country’s investment policy through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). In a program on a private television channel, he shared that significant investment news is expected next week, indicating potential foreign investment in various sectors including minerals and agriculture.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister highlighted ongoing efforts for human resource development, including the training of one million nurses in the coming years. He also discussed plans for the privatization of unprofitable institutions, with the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) being a priority.

Prime Minister Kakar also mentioned the planned upgrade of the Quetta-Taftan railway station and emphasized the independence and openness of the media in Pakistan, affirming that it operates beyond any control.
