Islamabad, In a ceremony marked by solemnity and political significance, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, administered the oath of office to newly elected government ministers Ms. Kausar Taqdees Gilani and Ms. Imtiaz Naseem. The event was held at the President’s office, Kashmir House, in Islamabad.
According to the Press Secretary to the Governor of Sindh, the ceremony was attended by several high-profile figures including the Prime Minister of the Independent State of Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Haq, Senior Most Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmad Noor, and Government Ministers Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Abdul Majid Khan, and Chaudhry Muhammad Akbar Ibrahim. Also in attendance were Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Khan, Prime Minister Adviser Ahmad Sagheer, Chief Secretary of Azad Kashmir Dawood Muhammad Barich, various government secretaries, senior officials, and representatives from political, social, and media circles, as well as other schools of thought.
The event began with Secretary Services and General Administration Zafar Mehmood Khan reading the notification of the government ministers, and Secretary Presidential Affairs Shahid Ayub taking charge of organizing the ceremony. This occasion marks a significant step in the political journey of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, ushering in new leadership and prospects for the region.
