Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has voiced grave concern over the escalating state terrorism by Indian troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman, in a statement from Srinagar, highlighted the severe harassment and targeting of Kashmiris by the Modi regime. This oppression, he stated, is a response to the Kashmiri people’s demand for self-determination and the call for an impartial plebiscite in the region. The spokesman called on international human rights organizations to intervene for the release of Kashmiri prisoners held in Indian jails and urged the global community to nullify all illegal actions implemented by the Indian government in Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019.
The spokesman condemned the Modi regime’s tactics in IIOJK, which involve increased state terrorism and the killing of innocent civilians, particularly youth. He noted that Indian forces act with impunity under draconian laws, leading to widespread human rights violations.
The APHC appealed to the international community, especially human rights organizations, to step in to halt the ongoing bloodshed of Kashmiris and to hold India accountable for the war crimes committed by its forces in occupied Kashmir.
In a related development, Umar Mughal, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement, in a statement from Jammu, strongly denounced the Indian brutalities in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of occupied Kashmir. He criticized Indian Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to the area, alleging it as an attempt to cover up the state terrorism and mislead the international community.
Mughal called on international justice institutions to acknowledge the state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and to advocate for justice for the families affected by these actions.
