Ahsan Iqbal Praises US-Iran Peace Agreement as Diplomatic Triumph

Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has expressed strong support for the recent peace agreement between the United States and Iran, describing it as a significant diplomatic accomplishment. Iqbal highlighted the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving conflicts, marking a shift away from confrontation.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a social media post on platform X, Iqbal extended his congratulations to the leaders of the United States and Iran for their decision to pursue peace. He noted that the agreement could lead to increased stability, economic recovery, and prosperity in the Middle East and beyond.

Iqbal emphasized Pakistan’s role in fostering dialogue and building trust between the involved parties. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan consistently promoted engagement and peaceful conflict resolution. He also acknowledged the contributions of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for supporting regional peace and enhancing Pakistan’s role as a reliable facilitator.

The Planning Minister expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for a new era of cooperation and shared prosperity in the region and globally.
