Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organisations have urged the world community to take stock of the worst human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where personnel of Indian forces and their agencies, shielded by the draconian laws, are involved in massacring, harassing and arresting the subjugated people with impunity.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders, including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Abdul Ahad, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Advocate Arshad Iqbal and Maulana Musaib Nadvi in their separate statements issued in Srinagar deplored that India under Hindutva-inspired Narendra Modi is hell bent on eliminating Kashmiris and snatch their land in occupied Jammu and Kashmir the way Israel under Zionist Benjamin Netanyahu is doing in occupied Palestine. They urged Pakistan and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to mobilize the international community to force India to settle the Kashmir dispute as per UN resolutions.
Meanwhile, several Kashmiris were arrested by Indian troops during their cordon and search operations in parts of the territory. Three youth were arrested in a joint operation of Indian army, police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Kalgai area of Baramulla district, today. Some arrests were also made by the troops in Krishna Ghati, Mendhar area of Poonch district.
National Conference and Communist Party of India-Marxist leaders Omar Abdullah and Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami talking to media persons in Srinagar said that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have only got sufferings, deception and troubles after abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. Tarigami mentioned that Modi regime had made huge promises while revoking the Jammu and Kashmir’s special status; however, the fact is there is no electricity and no big or small business in the territory, today. Congress IIOJK leader, Raman Bhalla, interacting with a group of people in Jammu vowed to continue to expose the anti-people policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party regime in the occupied territory.
Two students from occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been expelled from the University hostel at Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi. The students have been charged with setting off firecrackers, following the loss of India to Australia in the World Cup final, this month.
On the other hand, the hardcore Hindutva exponent and chief of the Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad, Pravin Togadia, addressing a public meeting at Badaun in Uttar Pradesh boasted to replace all mosques with temples in the BJP-ruled Indian state.
