Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a one-year ban on South African cricketer Corbin Bosch, prohibiting him from participating in the Pakistan Super League. The decision follows Bosch’s breach of contract, as he opted to play in another league despite being bound by his PSL agreement.
The PCB confirmed that Bosch, an all-rounder, will not be eligible for the forthcoming edition of the PSL. Additionally, he has been subjected to a financial penalty, which he has accepted. Bosch has expressed regret for his actions.
Acknowledging his breach, Bosch issued a public apology. He conveyed his remorse for pulling out of the PSL, expressing shame over his conduct and extending apologies to the Pakistani fans.
In his statement, Bosch articulated his sincere regrets over his decision to withdraw from the league. He offered apologies to the people of Pakistan, the supporters of Peshawar Zalmi, and the broader cricketing community.
Bosch, aged 30, was selected by Peshawar Zalmi in the diamond category during the player draft for the tenth edition of the PSL, held in Lahore on January 13.
