Punjab Police Mobilizes for Rain-Induced Emergencies Across Province


Lahore: The Punjab Police has been put on high alert as heavy rainfall impacts Lahore and surrounding districts. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has instructed officers and personnel to be prepared for immediate rescue and relief operations should emergencies arise.



According to Punjab Police, the directive from IG Punjab emphasizes the need for vigilance and professionalism in rain-affected areas. Supervisory officers have been tasked with personally overseeing relief activities and maintaining a visible presence in the field. The police force is working in collaboration with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, district administration, Rescue 1122, and other relevant departments to manage any arising situations due to the rainfall.



Punjab Police Control Rooms are closely monitoring conditions and potential damages, assisting in the drainage of rainwater from roads in Lahore and other impacted regions. Cooperation with relevant departments is ongoing to ensure the safe evacuation of affected citizens. The directive mandates that all officers and personnel remain alert and responsive to any emergencies during the continuing rainfall.
