KARACHI: The Sindh provincial cabinet, led by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has sanctioned a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at enhancing governance and development across the province. Key decisions include the approval of relief measures for government employees, extending the provincial health insurance scheme, forming strategic task forces, and implementing reforms to stabilize wheat prices and ensure food security.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the cabinet meeting, attended by senior officials and provincial ministers, covered 22 agenda items encompassing governance reforms, public service delivery, and economic management. One significant directive from the meeting was the intensified crackdown on wheat hoarders to stabilize atta prices. The cabinet reviewed the wheat stock position and approved the procurement of 220,665 metric tonnes of wheat from PASSCO to bolster reserves. Measures also included relief for government employees, with increased conveyance allowances and the formation of task forces focusing on economic growth, climate resilience, and digital transformation.
