New Delhi, A US woman has reported being raped by the CEO of a private company in a five-star hotel in New Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area. The victim, an Indian-origin US citizen, filed a complaint with the Chanakyapuri police station, detailing the sexual assault incident that allegedly occurred in September 2023.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the senior police official handling the case stated that the victim reported the incident of sexual assault by the accused in a five-star hotel in the New Delhi district. The victim was working as an Assistant General Manager at the same company where the accused served as CEO. She mentioned that the accused was known to her uncle and had assisted her in securing the job.
The police have initiated a further investigation based on the evidence recorded in the complaint. The case highlights the ongoing issues of safety and sexual assault in India, particularly involving foreign nationals. The incident has brought attention to the challenges faced by women in the corporate environment and the need for stringent measures to ensure their safety and well-being.
